Mark and I go back a long way. No need to detail the favors this guy's done for me, but suffice it to say that buying him a beer hardly makes up for his good deeds. Still, I couldn't resist plying him with a frosty one after spotting givereal.com.
The process was as easy as pulling out my credit card, just like in a real bar. Only Mark wasn't there to insist he buy the next round. Here's how it works:
Actually, I threw down dough enough for two beers, three maybe if he hits his favorite joint during Happy Hour. Yikes! I hope he doesn't get hammered...

Is there a minimum or maximum value for a drink? You can give as little as $1 or throw down up to $99.
Don't know a bar or restaurant in the recipient's area?No problem. Gift recipients can enjoy their drinks at any bar or restaurant in the US that accepts credit cards. That's over 500,000 bars or restaurants to choose from!
How long is a gift good for?Gift recipients have up to 12 months to accept their gifts. If a drink is not accepted within the 12 months, the gift giver will be refunded the amount of the gift. Once a gift has been accepted, it does not expire.
