Beach Blanket Burger

June 24, 2009

The latest and arguably sexiest Carl's Jr. commercial has hit the airwaves. "The Hills" actress Audrina Patridge stars. It seems the restaurant chain hired her because it learned Patridge was already a fan. Funny. That's the same thing they said about Padma Lakshmi.

This steamy spot encourages young, hungry guys to try the Carl's Jr. Teriyaki Burger. And, I suspect, go to the beach.

Oh, and the marketing swag that CKE sent to the media included a fresh pineapple. Yum!

If you have a restaurant-chain commercial or other video that you'd like to see in this space, send the link to chainleader@reedbusiness.com. Or we'll find it if you can't.

Considering this economy....whatever it takes to get the customers into the stores and out of their refrigerators is fine by me as long as they start listing fat and calories in the store. Afterall, how am I supposed to attract my own hottie if I've just downed 4000 calories and 100 grams of fat and can't get into my Speedo?!
