Daily Grill Restaurants Sponsor Canned Food Drive

Beginning Nov 16 and continuing through Dec 18, Orange County, Calif., Daily Grill restaurants will offer $10 gift cards for every five canned goods donated.

-- Chain Leader, 11/6/2009 8:46:00 AM

PRESS RELEASE: PRLog (Press Release) - Nov 05, 2009 - One of the most troubling aspects of this economic downturn is the great many people depending on food banks to help ease their financial burden.  In response to this growing social problem, Daily Grills in Irvine and Newport Beach are sponsoring the "5 for 10" food drive benefiting the Orange County Food Bank this holiday season. Beginning Nov 16 and continuing through Dec 18, the restaurants will offer $10 gift cards for every five canned goods donated.  (The cards may be redeemed at any Daily Grill between Jan 1 - Feb 28, 2010.)

"Without doubt, there are those with cupboards filled with canned goods and non-perishables who would be more than happy to make a donation even without the incentive," said Daily Grill President and CEO Philip Gay.  "By sponsoring '5 for 10,' we hope to call attention to the needs of people right here in our own backyard while offering our guests a convenient way to help."

The Orange County Daily Grills are located at Fashion Island (957 Newport Center Drive) in Newport Beach; and in Irvine at (2636 Dupont Drive). For more information, visit www.dailygrill.com.

Established in 1988, Daily Grills specialize in serving classic American fare at accessible prices in an atmosphere reminiscent of a traditional, upscale New York City grill.  The popularity of the concept has resulted in 22 locations in eight states.
