Sandella's Flatbread Cafe Expands To Chicago

Entrepreneurs to bring three units of fast-casual flatbread restaurant concept to Chicago.

-- Chain Leader, 7/13/2009 5:11:00 PM

PRESS RELEASE: West Redding, CT, July 13, 2009 -Entrepreneurs David Gile and Ankit Jhaveri have signed a franchise deal with Sandella's Flatbread Café to bring three new restaurants to the Chicago market. The franchisees plan to open their first location by the end of 2009.

Gile and Jhaveri are researching potential sites throughout downtown Chicago for their first location. The franchisees are interested in tapping into the downtown business district of Chicago known as "The Loop."   Gile, an MBA graduate of Harvard Business School, and Jhaveri were first introduced while managing all aspects of a large Dell fulfillment facility shipping over $13B worth of equipment each year with over 1,000 employees.

"We were very impressed by the growth rate of Sandella's Flatbread. New stores are successfully popping up all over the country and also in the Middle East to great reviews, and we are confident we'll be just as successful in Chicago," says Jhaveri. "Chicago is cold eight months of the year and people want a healthy option that's hearty, warm and delicious! Sandella's low calorie, no trans-fat flatbreads offer exactly that - with a burst of flavor, taste, and quality gourmet ingredients."

Sandella's Flatbread Café is the largest flatbread concept in the world with more than 150 locations and almost 500 new restaurants in development across North America and the Middle East.

Sandella's Flatbread Café is a fast casual café concept featuring a health-conscious menu. The concept incorporates the hottest trends in the fast casual segment, offering consumers fresh, hot and healthy menu items such as grilled paninis, sandwiches, grilled flatbreads, chopped salads and quesadillas-all made with their own brick-oven flatbread that is low calorie and fat free. Already ahead of its time, Sandella's is trans-fat free and listed in the Weight Watchers Points Guide.

Restaurants average 1,000-1,500 square feet and seat 30 to 40 guests.

Prime franchise territory is still available worldwide. If you are interested in franchising with Sandella's please visit www.sandellas.com
