PRESS RELEASE: OAK BROOK, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Restaurants & Institutions (R&I) magazine and NOBLE, one of the most respected food marketing firms in the world, announce findings from their groundbreaking research, Connection Points, a study on how foodservice operators use and consume media. The research is based on more than 1,000 completed surveys across 16 industry segments such as casual dining, family dining, college & university, etc. The survey was designed to assess operators' work/personal life balance and how media (print magazines, Twitter, Facebook, trade publication websites, television, radio, etc.) intersect with their daily personal and business routines.
Terri Solomon, R&I Director of Research, defines the discoveries as "breakthrough analysis that gives the industry an in-depth look into how restaurant operators are interacting with the rapidly changing media landscape, including all forms of new media."
Connection Points demonstrates how and the extent to which foodservice operators, although continuing to rely on traditional media, are embracing all forms of digital and interactive media.
"These findings will enlighten foodservice operators and manufacturers/service-providers alike," says Steve Rourke, V.P. Group Publisher, R&I. "Operators will now have the ability to benchmark behavior while marketers will be able to more accurately target and allocate media placement. For example, manufacturers are especially interested in understanding how various segments within the operator community are interacting with digital and social media. This research gives marketers a very useful tool to more effectively and efficiently plan their media spend," he adds.
In a live webcast on Wednesday, July 29 at 1 p.m. CDT, attendees will get an overview of findings from the study, including information on how to use the research results to maximize marketing effectiveness. Register at rimag.com/connect.
