Restaurant chain Genghis Grill is bucking the trend with recent openings of two brand new locations in San Antonio and Georgetown, Texas.

PRESS RELEASE: DALLAS, June 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Genghis Grill - The Mongolian Stir Fry is well-known for its fresh, hot and healthy food, for its style of fun service, featuring build your own bowl - an INTERACTIVE style of exhibition cooking.
 
Genghis Grill is bucking the trend with recent openings of two brand new locations in San Antonio and Georgetown, TX khantinuing with 6 new franchisee and corporate locations so far in 2009.
 
The second San Antonio location is located near Sea World of Texas by Loop 410 & State Hwy 151, while the Georgetown location is in the open-air community center of Wolf Ranch Town Center, which is designed to give customers a unique shopping experience.  This open-air community center is home to 11 anchor stores, over 40 specialty retail stores and restaurants currently!  What makes Wolf Ranch truly special is that it has an interpretive nature trail, ponds, and scenic areas that reinforce the natural Central Texas elements of wind, water and shade.
 
Twenty new restaurants are slated to open around the country in 2009, KHANQUERING throughout the southwest, south central, Midwest, and southeast.  Expansion has been a company focus for years and you can now find Genghis Grill in 12 states.
 
"We want to be the largest and the best Mongolian concept out there," Al Bhakta, CEO of Genghis Grill Franchise Concepts, LP said. "We're the second-largest. In a few months, we will be the largest."
 
The aggressively expanding 33 unit chain operates locations through franchised and corporate stores throughout AZ, CO, IA, IL, MO, MN, NM, NV, TN and TX.  Additional locations in AR, KS, MO, TN, OK, GA, NC, NM, NV, and TX are pending upon construction or site selection.
 
The first Genghis Grill opened in 1998 in Dallas, TX with very humble beginnings. Today, Genghis Grill is a segment leader when it comes to Mongolian Barbecue. It offers a Heart Healthy dining option along with an array of recipes to choose from KHAN'S KITCHEN (food bar). The growth of the concept has been predominantly through its kult-like following.
