PRESS RELEASE: Arlington, VA, February 25, 2009- Elevation Burger franchisees, Neeraj and Lisa Vohra, are completing construction for the first of their five locations of the popular Northern Virginia organic burger chain.  Elevation Burger will also be opening its doors in the popular new DC neighborhood of National Harbor in April.  The innovative concept is rapidly expanding its Virginia-based organic burger concept throughout the United States and has 24 locations in development across Texas, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C.

The new store should be open by early April and is located at 2447 North Harrison Street in Arlington, Virginia, in the middle of Lee Harrison Shopping Center.  The center has many activities for children such as a ballet studio, kid's gym and a children's bookstore.  Neeraj and Lisa are targeting the areas of Kingstowne, Pentagon Row and Shirlington in Northern Virginia as well as Old Town, Alexandria for their next four locations.

"Northern Virginia families are looking for a fast meal for their kids," says Lisa Vohra.  "Since this area doesn't currently have a fast casual hamburger restaurant, Elevation Burger will offer parents a healthier alternative for a quick meal with their children.  Elevation's free-range, grass-fed beef hamburger offers a healthy dose of Omega 3 fatty acids and the french fries are cooked in heart healthy olive oil, making it a place parents and their kids can agree on."

Elevation Burger prides itself on "elevating" the product, atmosphere and experience - for guests and staff alike.  It offers a sophisticated and flavorful menu highlighting health conscious ingredients served in well-appointed and environmentally-friendly restaurants run by a staff that strives to provide impeccable customer service.  Elevation Burger cooks its fresh-cut fries in 100% olive oil, offers two kinds of veggie burgers and uses only 100% USDA-certified organic, grass fed, free range beef.  Restaurants feature high-efficiency equipment as well as recycled, recyclable and rapidly renewable finishes.  Elevation Burger franchisees are aiming to certify newly constructed stores under the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED rating system - a rarity in the restaurant industry.

Elevation Burger has had an explosive amount of support from local patrons in the Washington, D.C. metro area since it first opened in 2005.  The concept has received recognition in prestigious publications such as Washingtonian magazine and The Washington Post as "best shake" and "best burger" nominees.

About Elevation Burger:

Elevation Burger is a rapidly growing, fast casual concept serving 100% USDA-certified organic beef burgers and fresh-cut fries cooked in heart-healthy 100% olive oil. Founded by husband and wife entrepreneurs Hans and April Hess in 2002, the chain prides itself on an "elevated" experience and an organic, fresh approach that puts people and product ahead of profit.  The first location opened in 2005, offering Northern Virginia a health-conscious menu filled with flavor.  Hans and April's belief that "Ingredients Matter" has brought the restaurant rapid success and popularity.  Driven by their passion for delicious food that's organic, sustainable and fresh, Elevation Burger began franchising in 2008. Restaurants are 1,800-2,200 square feet and seat 50 to 150 guests with outdoor seating.
