Jack in the Box restaurant chain introduces $2.99 Jumbo Deal featuring a Jumbo Jack hamburger, two tacos and a small order of natural cut fries.

-- Chain Leader, 12/29/2008 1:23:00 PM

PRESS RELEASE: SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Now that the holiday gift-giving is over, it's time for some serious penny pinching. But before you resort to eating cold cereal for every meal or making "soup" from ketchup and water, you might want to try Jack in the Box(r) restaurants' new $2.99 Jumbo Deal - a value meal that will fill you up ... without draining your wallet.

The new $2.99 Jumbo Deal features a trio of classic Jack in the Box favorites - a Jumbo Jack(r) hamburger, two tacos and a small order of natural cut fries.

"Between the holidays and the tough economy, consumers are tightening their belts," said Teka O'Rourke, director of menu marketing and promotions for Jack in the Box Inc. "We created the $2.99 Jumbo Deal so our guests could enjoy some of our most popular menu items at a very affordable price."

The $2.99 Jumbo Deal is available for the suggested price, excluding tax, of $2.99 at all participating Jack in the Box restaurants for a limited time.

Jack in the Box Inc. (NASDAQ: JACK), based in San Diego, is a restaurant company that operates and franchises Jack in the Box(r) restaurants, one of the nation's largest hamburger chains, with more than 2,100 restaurants in 18 states. Additionally, through a wholly owned subsidiary the company operates and franchises Qdoba Mexican Grill(r), a leader in fast-casual dining, with more than 450 restaurants in 41 states and the District of Columbia.
