-- Chain Leader, 8/19/2008 10:53:00 AM

DALLAS, Aug. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of the ongoing restructuring efforts at Bennigan's Franchising Company, L.P., two executives have joined the company on a consulting basis. Doug Benham, the former President and CEO of ARBY'S, has joined as a board-level advisor, while Vince Runco, former President and CEO of Metromedia Restaurant Group, has joined as interim President and CEO.

Mr. Runco will be focusing on franchise support and assisting the development of the franchise system. Mr. Benham is serving in a consulting role to the current restructuring team.

"I'm very excited to be working with the Bennigan's franchisees again," said Mr. Runco. "My previous role included growth and operations of the franchise system, and I remain committed to the franchisees with whom I have worked with for nearly a decade."

Mr. Runco served at Metromedia Restaurant Group from 1999 until 2007, most recently as CEO. He served in several prior roles at Metromedia including Chief Operating Officer and President, World-Wide Franchise.

"I look forward to working with Vince and the Bennigan's Franchising Co. team to help grow the business into the future," said Mr. Benham. "Bennigan's is a strong brand with loyal customers and franchisees."

As CEO of ARBY's, Mr. Benham guided the ARBY's system to enhanced sales and operational performance, a superior level of franchisor-franchisee relations and renewed growth. Prior to this, Mr. Benham was the Chief Financial Officer and a member of the board of directors of the RTM Restaurant Group ("RTM"), ARBY's largest franchisee, where he held positions of increasing responsibility since 1989.
