1. Bear Rock Cafe management thinks its new mountain-lodge design is strong enough to take the concept nationwide.
2. A wood wall breaks Bear Rock Cafe's big space into smaller, more intimate sections.
3. Warm leaf tones replace floor-to-ceiling paneling, which was deemed "too much wood."
4. Customers now pick up their orders; table-delivery service is in test in some Bear Rock Cafe outlets.
5. Bear Rock Cafe's stone fireplace is twice the size of those in older stores.
6. Dessert display cases take the place of the deli case.
7. Displaying the menu on a pedestal in the entryway helps customers decide what they want.
