Häagen-Dazs Tests Classic Sundaes

Three classic sundaes with a modern twist become part of nationwide product test.

PRESS RELEASE: Minneapolis, Minn. (February 4, 2010) - Häagen-Dazs Shops are testing a new line called, The Classic Two Scoop Sundaes. Sure to satisfy any sweet tooth, each of the three sundaes in Häagen-Dazs' new Classic collection is available for the price of $3.99. Now through the end of February, the three distinctive frozen sundae desserts are being tested in 18 shops throughout Arizona, California, Florida and New York.

"The Classics are recipes inspired by traditional ice cream sundaes," said Dawn Uremovich, president of Häagen-Dazs Shops. "We've taken the original hot fudge sundae and recreated it with a modern twist. The line is a perfect alternative for consumers looking to elevate a more traditional ice cream experience."

The Classic Sundaes are made from the finest ingredients. The collection includes:

o Midnight Classic - Made with the new Midnight Cookies and Cream ice cream flavor, and topped with hot fudge, crushed chocolate cookies and whipped cream.

o Raspberry Classic - Features Raspberry Sorbet and chocolate puffs topped with hot fudge and whipped cream.

o Coffee Classic - Coffee ice cream hits the spot with chopped and caramelized hazelnuts topped with hot fudge and whipped cream.

Whether consumers taste one Classic Sundae or all three, Häagen-Dazs is interested in receiving valuable consumer feedback regarding the Classic Two Scoop Sundae experience.
