Menu Promotion: Melting Pot Offers Tuscan Tastes
The Melting Pot Restaurants adds Tuscan flavors to spring fondue menu.

PRESS RELEASE: TAMPA, Fla., March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- The Melting Pot fondue restaurants (http://www.meltingpot.com) will feature the tastes of Tuscany in the new Big Night Out four-course Italian menu, available in all locations March 20.
"Tuscany is known for its quality food using only the freshest ingredients, and we wanted to capture that with this menu," said Chef Shane Schaibly, executive chef for The Melting Pot. "Our fondue menu items include classic Tuscan flavors combined with other exceptional ingredients, all designed to inspire passion and enhance this unique dining experience."
The first course takes the traditional four cheese blend to a unique, new level with the Quattro Formaggio Cheese Fondue. This dish blends award winning Fontina, Gruyere and Gran Queso specialty cheeses with fresh mozzarella Perlini, known as "little pearls," and combines them with roasted garlic, basil and tomato pestos.
The second course consists of a caprese salad featuring mixed field greens topped with fresh mozzarella, vine-ripened tomatoes and fresh basil; all finished with an imported balsamic glaze.
The main course offers a choice of fresh meats and seafood with Tuscan flavors like Porterhouse Florentine, sun-dried tomato chicken, zesty shrimp diablo and porcini and Portobello sacchetti pasta (known as "little purses" of pasta) in a choice of fondue cooking styles including Mojo style bouillon, Coq au Vin herb and burgundy wine, vegetable broth or the traditional Bourguignonne style with cholesterol-free canola oil.
For dessert, Chef Shane blended milk chocolate with espresso mousse and imported lady fingers to make the Milk Chocolate Tiramisu Fondue.

We created the Big Night Out to encourage interaction and conversation as people take turns reaching for, nabbing and sometimes even rescuing food from shared fondue pots."
