To expand the population of Grilled Nation, the world renowned KFC Colonel is sampling new KGC for all UN employees and visitors on First Avenue, across from the UN, with KGC branded street vendor carts. At 60 million strong, KFC's Grilled Nation is the equivalent of the 24th largest country in the world and represents nearly 1 percent of the world's population.

"The coast-to-coast success of Kentucky Grilled Chicken has proven that America really does have good taste," said Javier Benito, executive vice president of marketing and food innovation for KFC. "We hope that the United Nations recognizes the growth of Grilled Nation as proof that 60 million people deserve some delectable international diplomacy. And that UN employees deserve a break for a KGC lunch."

60 Million (and Counting) in Times Square

To showcase the population growth of Grilled Nation, this week KFC is launching a digital billboard in Times Square in New York City which will track the growing number of people who have tried Kentucky Grilled Chicken. The billboard is located on 7th Avenue between 49th Street and 50th Street.

KFC is also recognizing Grilled Nation with a new Web site, www.grillednation.com, which will allow KGC fans the chance to recruit new citizens and set up their own Grilled Nation embassies where their countrymen and women can enjoy KGC's strong GDP - good darn poultry.

The best part about becoming a citizen of Grilled Nation is there is no hassle and no paperwork; just great food. Stop by your neighborhood KFC on Monday, October 26 and become the newest member of Grilled Nation with a FREE piece of Kentucky Grilled Chicken.
