-- Chain Leader, 8/13/2009 8:22:00 AM

PRESS RELEASE: DALLAS - Red Mango, one of the most popular and fastest-growing retailers of authentic nonfat frozen yogurt, has awarded a franchise development agreement to open a total of six stores in the Austin, Texas market.

Ramiro Valadez, III of Ramstin Enterprises in San Antonio, has signed a development agreement for Travis and Williamson Counties to build six Red Mango stores in the Austin area, including Round Rock and Georgetown. The first location will open in early 2010 near the University of Texas campus.

Last month Valadez, who also has a six-store Red Mango development agreement for the San Antonio area, opened Texas' first Red Mango store at 280 E. Basse Road in San Antonio. That recent grand opening attracted more than 1,100 people, and Valadez anticipates a similar strong reception in Austin.
