Glory Days Grill Asks Customers for Slider Recipes
Glory Days Grill, the popular Baltimore/Washington regional restaurant chain operating 22 full-service restaurants in Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia, is looking for the next big slider recipe.

PRESS RELEASE: PRESS RELEASE: Fairfax, VA - Glory Days Grill, the popular Baltimore/Washington regional restaurant chain operating 22 full-service restaurants in Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia, is looking for the next big slider recipe. Due to the overwhelming popularity of the New Slider Section of their menu and the mass appeal of sliders as one of the hottest food trends across the region, Glory Days decided to enlist the assistance of their guests to help them name the next soon-to-be-famous slider for their menu.

Glory Days Grill will be accepting slider recipes from guests who believe they have the best slider recipe. Winning will be based on presentation, creativity/originality (including the name of the slider) and taste. Guests can log onto: www.gotsliders.com to enter. The deadline for submitting recipes for The Glory Days Grill Slider Showdown is September 30, 2009.
After the deadline, Glory Days Grill will select five finalists from among all the entries received who will compete in a Slider Showdown to be held on Saturday, October 17, 2009 starting at 11:30AM at the Fairfax Glory Days Grill located at the Pan Am Shopping Center. The five finalists will prepare their slider recipes and perform a live cook-off in front of a panel of judges. Finalists MUST be present at the cook-off to win. The public is invited to attend and perhaps witness the birth of the next slider that will sweep the country.
Glory Days Grill is doing this unique challenge in conjunction with their ongoing promotion titled "HELP US REACH ONE MILLION SLIDERS SERVED." The winner of the Slider Showdown will receive a $500 gift card to Glory Days Grill and the winner's slider will be featured on the Glory Days Grill menu.
Glory Days Grill was founded in 1996 in Burke, Virginia. The restaurant company currently owns and operates 20 corporate locations in the tri-state area and supports 2 franchised restaurants in Richmond, VA. The locally based restaurant chain has won numerous culinary awards as well as recognition for their community involvement, including the 2008 winner of the Best American Cuisine, Best Casual Dining and the 2009 McCormick Cornerstone Award.
