Pete & Shorty's Tavern, established in Clearwater in 1997, by the owners of Hooters Restaurants and several key Hooters employees, offers a wide-ranging menu, with signature items like the oversized Pork Tenderloin Sandwich, the Loose-meat Pete Sandwich, and the local's favorite, Shorty Burgers, as well as dinners featuring steaks, seafood, and chicken. The restaurant features a full liquor bar and two happy hours daily, as well as an outdoor deck for fresh air dining or to enjoy afternoon cocktails.
Based on popular Midwestern-style neighborhood gathering spots, Pete & Shorty's has proven to be popular in the Clearwater area and in Las Vegas, Nevada, both with out-of-town visitors and regular customers who appreciate the camaraderie of the staff and management, as well as the comfortable and unpretentious surroundings, and friendly, competent service.

My first visit to Pete and Shorty''s on 72 and 49th in Pinellas Park,Fl. Our waitress I am sure has never waited tables before. She couldn''t get out order right. Tator tots cam out cold the frist time , warm on the outside second time but frozen inside. Finally the third time they got ir right. Asked for a burger with cheese only. Burger came with everything but cheese. Service needs to be upgraded. Food was not so great. I can say we won''t be back and will tell friends about our visit.
